Coppa Italia: Comfortable evening for Cagliari and Verona

Hellas Verona and Cagliari had no problems in the first round of the Coppa Italia and joined Fiorentina, Udinese, Genoa and Spezia in the next round.

The Serie A teams went easily through to the next round, as Hellas Verona won 3-0 over Catanzaro, thanks to goals from Koray Gunter, Darko Lazovic and an own goal from Pasquale Fazio.

Cagliari’s match against Pisa finished 3-1, with Razvan Marin scoring the first, before an own goal from Antonio Caracciolo and Alessandro Deiola made it three at half-time. Gaetano Masucci scored Pisa’s only goal, but the visitors didn’t manage to give the Rossoblu any trouble.

Benevento overcame SPAL with a 2-1 win after extra time, as it ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, before the Streghe advanced to the next round.

Cittadella hosted Monza earlier today and won 2-1 over Silvio Berlusconi’s side.
